The research

Connecting genomic variation with environmental change.

Historical and contemporary whole-genome data provide a direct view of change across decades. The project combines those genomic comparisons with pangenome-aware analyses, environmental DNA, smolt telemetry and demographic inference to connect evolutionary change with population trajectories and changing environments.

The emphasis throughout is on integrating genomic evidence with ecology and translating results into forms that can support conservation, fisheries science and collaborative decision-making.
